Singing in church was my first musical experience – E.L

Ghanaian rapper, Elorm Adablah popularly known as E.L has opened up about his first musical experience.

The rapper in an interview on 3FM Lounge with AJ Sarpong disclosed that he never had one specific point in time where he realized music was going to be his profession.

The Tema-based rapper said his career rather occurred to him in stages, recounting when he started as a singer in church through to his secondary school days when he joined a group of rappers in PRESEC Legon.

“I wouldn’t say there was a specific time in my life where I was going to do music. I guess it creeped up on him in stages. My earliest memory of having that musical experience was me being in church singing in the choir, they got me a keyboard and I started playing it and the piano.

“It was a very evolutionary process that led me to this place. I was in PRESEC and I joined Skillions, a rap group and before you knew it, I was on stage performing so I have just been led to this path by my Guardian angel,” E.L said on Thursday, July 25.

Speaking further on his creativity as a sound producer, E. L advised colleague artistes in the industry to learn how to produce their own beats, as the rapper said he prefers to make his own beats for his songs.

“I have told this to all my friends, the earlier you start learning how to produce your own beats if you are a musician the better.

“I have gotten through a few of them and they realise like its so much easier to bring out the idea directly yourself than to go through to someone,” he added.

E.L after taking a break from the music scene for a while has announced he will release an album titled ‘Bar 7’ with 13 songs on Friday, July 26 via all streaming platforms.

The album features other talented artistes in the industry.
