Simi describes new album as ‘labour of love’

Nigerian singer and songwriter Simi has described her latest musical project, Lost and Found, as a ‘labour of love,’ sharing her personal connection with the project.

“I made this album and wanted people to listen and remember why they fell in love with me in the first place,” Simi stated.

Simi has been vocal about various aspects of her personal and professional life recently and shared that successful relationships require sacrifices from both partners.

Simi elaborated on her artistic approach, stating, “Most of my songs are for the audience. I’m an artist and I tell stories. I love telling stories and painting pictures because I feel like people can see themselves in them. It just feels real and I use lots of pidgin in my songs.”
