The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Koduah, has said he doesn’t regret calling out some government appointees in the Bono Region for losing touch with the party’s base and electorate in the region.

Speaking to the Media in Kumasi at the New Patriotic Party’s Ashanti regional campaign launch he said, “In my post on Facebook I said some of our appointees have lost touch at the base and don’t regret saying that. I’m very disappointed in them. I have already sent the signal to them,’’ he stated.

He further stressed that “when I get to Accra, I will start engaging them one on one to let them know. Next time I will come in public to mention their names,’’ he warned.

In the Facebook post aforementioned, Mr Koduah wrote, “Feedback from my tour of the Bono region shows that some appointees have lost touch with their base. Don’t force me to start mentioning names; do the needful.”

He pointed out that “the New Patriotic Party is contesting the presidential election to win and any obstruction within the party will not be accepted. No single individual can hold us down,’’  he lamented.

Ahead of the December 7th general elections the NPP in the Ashanti Region is launching the party’s presidential and parliamentary election campaign in Kumasi on August 11.

The party will equally use the event to outdoor the party’s campaign song for elections 2024 activities across the country.

The event was graced by Vice Presidential candidate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, MP for Manhyia South Constituency, national executives including the General Secretary of the party, Members of Parliament in Ashanti Region among others.
