NDC manifesto: Corrupt officials won’t have it easy under Mahama – Dafeamekpor
South Dayi lawmaker Rockson Nelson Dafeamekpor has said that officials who will engage in corruption will not have it easy under a Mahama administration.
He says that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2024 manifesto will focus on fighting corruption.
He says that the document will detail the measures that will help to fight corruption under a Mahama administration.
He says NDC has a track record of fighting corruption because the flagbearer John Dramani Mahama, when he was in office sacked persons suspected to have engaged in corruption from his government.
“Any government appointee, be it under Akufo-Ado or Mahama, if you misconduct yourself on grounds of corruption, you will not have it easy, a new regime of accountability,” he told TV3 ahead of the launch of the NDC manifesto in Winneba on Saturday, August 24.
For his part, the Minority Chef Whip Kwame Agbodza said that the manifesto will focus on key areas including corruption, and job creation.
To him, the manifesto will focus on how to solve the problems created by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“The manifesto will focus on issues of corruption, state capture, issues of great concern to every Ghanaian, job creation,” he told TV3 in Winneba ahead of the launch of the NDC manifesto on Saturday, August 24.
The NDC is launching its 2024 manifesto today Saturday, August 24 at the “Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium of the University of Education, Winneba.
The event will have in attendance, the Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama who is the Special Guest of the occasion.
Also in attendance, will be members of the National Executive Committee, members of the Council of Elders, Members of Parliament, Parliamentary Candidates and an array of distinguished guests from the Diplomatic Corps, Clergy, “Nananom”, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, Labour Organizations, Creative Arts, among others, a statement issued by the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi on Monday August 19.
“Various speakers will address the nation on thematic areas of the NDC’s transformational vision for resetting and building the Ghana we want,” the statement said.
