Launch of Election Command Centre: Let us treat each other with civility and decorum – Peter Mac Manu tells Ghanaians
Former Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Peter Mac Manu has advised Ghanaians and political parties to avoid hate speech and ensure decorum in the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the launch of TV3 and 3FM’s Election Command Centre, Mr. Mac Manu underscored the need for a violent-free election and peace to contribute to the development of the country and generations to come.
“Election needs peace, we cannot go into elections with violence that will threaten the stability of this nation, so I would like to call on Ghanaians to stop hate speech. It is dangerous during elections, and it has brought many countries in Africa into wars.
“We should avoid disinformation and misinformation and let us treat each other with civility and decorum, he said on Thursday, August 29.
He urged political parties to only present their ideas to voters for voters to make an informed decision and choice based on the policies of political parties.
