Bernard Mornah files to contest PNC flagbearer race

Former General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah has sealed his bid to contest the party’s presidential race.

Accompanied by dozens of party supporters, Bernard Mornah stormed the Abavana office of the PNC to file his nomination.

Bernard Mornah was received at the party’s headquarters by some national executives after having fulfilled all requirements.

He was however not enthused about the party’s internal processes as album for the delegates congress has not been compiled.

The party was not able to furnish him with the delegates album after his particulars, including a GHC100,000.00 worth bankers draft was submitted to the party.

But the party in a response attributed their inability to technical glitches.

National Youth Organiser of the PNC, Mark Ewusi said, “we have indicated our preparedness to organize a free and fair elections. We agree with Bernard Mornah’s concerns but he knows that the party is having challenges, and we are working to resolve it.”

Bernard Anbataayela Mornah and his contender, David Apasera have been scheduled for vetting on Wednesday August 21, 2024 alongside party members vying for national executive positions.

The party has scheduled August 31, 2024 for congress to be held in all sixteen regions.

When quizzed about how he was going to fund his political dream, Bernard Mornah indicated that he is currently relying on donations from crowd sourcing to fund his campaign.

He is hoping to leverage on the potentials presented by the extractive industry to create wealth for the citizens.
