Apasera, Mornah, Ewusi Arkoh et al cleared for PNC primaries

The People’s National Convention (PNC) has completed the vetting of interested members for various party positions.

The vetting was held on Thursday and Friday, setting the stage for the party’s Congress on Saturday.

All bar one were cleared to contest the primaries.

Eugene Bashiru, who filed to contest the Vice Chairmanship position, was disqualified over failure to pay his filing fees, leaving Martin Anafo to contest unopposed.

As a result, the qualified candidates for the various positions are David Apasera and Bernard Anbataayela Mornah for the flagbearer position, Hajia Hajara Haji Ali and Sampson Asaki Awingobit for the Chairmanship position, and Yakubu Fahrudeen and Awudulai Issahaque for General Secretary.

Abass Nuhu and Daniel Nii Noi Osekine were cleared for the contest of Organiser, Christiana Fugah and Esther Osei Danso for Women’s Organiser and Mark Ewusi Arkoh and Alidu Mohammed Nasirdeen for Youth Organiser.

The rest – Prince Agyeman-Duah for Deputy General Secretary, Emmanuel Aninbisa Akazabre for Treasurer, Anafo for Vice Chairman, Saeed Abdulai Mumin for Depity Organiser and Narrita Mary Logah for Deputy Women’s Organser – are all contesting unopposed.
