LIVE UPDATES: NPP’s National Council to decide on Opoku Prempeh as Bawumia’s running mate

The stage is set. The dire is cast. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s fate as running mate of Bawumia would be known by sunset.

The venue is the Alisa Hotel and party faithful have thronged the place. The party stalwarts have started arriving and the atmosphere is charged.

So far, President Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia have arrived at the venue amid cheers from the milling crowd.

Other National Council members have also arrived.

Some Ministers of State are present at the venue to support the exercise.

The National Council has confirmed Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh as Dr Bawumia’s running mate.

The General Secretary of the NPP, Justice Koduah Frimpong announced this after the meeting.
