Mahama purchased 200 tickets to support my movie premiere, donated a bus to my school – LilWin

Popular Kumawood actor, LilWin has recounted how former President John Mahama showed him a kind gesture.

In a viral video on X, the actor recalled that he once received a late-night call from the ex-president who purchased 200 tickets for the upcoming premiere of his movie to be given to persons who may not be able to afford the tickets.

According to him, John Mahama exhibited the kind gesture to support his movie.

He noted that the NDC Flagbearer expressed his desire to be present at the premiere of his movie if he finds enough time.

“I was surprised by a call from Mahama around midnight. He was concerned my film might be politically charged, but after I explained, he supported it. He bought 200 tickets and suggested I give them away. I really appreciate. He also mentioned he’d try to attend the premiere, if possible,” LilWin said.

LilWin noted that this wasn’t the first time Mahama had extended his generosity.

He revealed that at the time when he was faced with issues concerning transportation of the kids in his school because his buses had broken down, John Mahama facilitated the acquisition of a school bus valued at over GH¢300,000 through his son.

“Following my interview about my school bus issue. He sent one of his sons to purchase a school bus which cost about GH¢300,000 for the school which is currently being used to pick the students,” he added.

LilWin will premiere his new movie ‘A Country Called Ghana’ on May 17 at the National Theatre and on May 25 in Kumasi.
