Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in public schools in the Garu District of the Upper East Region have since 2021, not written any mock examination.

This is because, there is no one to sponsor these pupils to write the mock examination. The past questions are to be distributed to all public and private schools in the district to enable the pupils prepare for the impending 2024 BECE.

The donation formed part of NPP candidate’s social responsibility to support students in their basic needs to enhance access to quality education in the Garu district.

Madam Lardi Azumah said education is important to a country’s socio-economic and political development, which, when well delivered, will help to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.

She said she will be extremely excited to see students becoming lawyers, educationists, soldiers, commissioned police officers, business entrepreneurs, and other professionals to help build Garu. She pledged her commitment to sponsor students to perform well.

The Garu NPP Second Vice Chairman, Phillip Atambugri, called on parents to guide their wards as they prepared towards the examination.

He called on constituents of Garu to give Madam Lardi the node come December 7 for more development.

The Garu District Director of Education, Philip Frederick Alale, who received the past questions was grateful to Madam Azumah for the kind gesture.
