Ama Governor to be called to the Bar after being denied entry twice

Social media influencer, Elorm Ababio, popularly known as Ama Governor has finally been given a call to the Ghana Bar after she was denied entry in 2022 and 2023.

This was announced by the Ghana School of Law on its notice board on May 21, 2024. She joins 181 other individuals who are qualified to be called to the bar on May 31, 2024.

However, the list of persons outlined to be called to the Bar is subject to any change by the General Legal Council as and when the Council determines.

The official notice from the Ghana School of Law stated: “The list of persons qualified to be called to the bar per a notice issued under the hand of the Director of the Ghana School of Law is not exhaustive and may change upon the attention of the General Legal Council drawn to certain irregularities.”

This development follows her two consecutive denials to be called to the bar in 2022 and 2023.

The graduate of the Ghana School of Law garnered attention online back in 2022 and 2023 when she was denied entry to be called to the Bar.

The General Legal Council cited “conduct unbecoming of an applicant to be called to the Bar” as reason for not allowing her to be called to the Bar.

After several legal tussle, she has now been given the chance to officially practice her dream profession as lawyer.

The news has been welcomed on social media with all her fans anticipating a joyous moment for her on May 31 when they are officially inducted.
